Beau

Trade with amazing of her beautiful character Beau.

I must say that this one took me quite a while to complete. I'm pleased overall with the horse, mainly the face, though the front legs look a bit unnatural. I'm sorry I couldn't figure out how to make them look better. The original horse file was a lot bigger than the full size image shown. I hoped to show a better view of the eye which looks great in actual size but like always, completely blurred out when reduced.
I had a vision of the background being like a yellow landscape with dry grass and such but I obviously had a hard time with it because I haven't had much practice with backgrounds. I just referred to some photos of wild mustang environment to get the colors. Couldn't figure out what to do with the hills in the back. You can see I depended a lot on overlays.
There are quite a few flaws but certain aspects I'm happy with. Coloring was fun to do. Only after I was finished with the sketch, ready to do the markings, did I realize I wanted to do his left side markings... what ev, Hope you like ^^
