Koi

This was kind of a for-fun art trade with a friend who also drew me some koi. I've never drawn koi before but this was a really interesting new project to work with, especially since I haven't done traditional coloring in ages!

Had such a hard time dealing with depth because lilies and petals were on the surface but fish was under water. Added some ripples and shadows to try to make it more obvious but iunno if it helped too much.

I also had to do some color touch-ups on photoshop because it didn't show up very well from the scanner; was a lot more dull and the outlines light grayish.
I also added some white around the ripples but that's about it. :3

I used my watercolor colored pencils for the first time with this. I recommend those to anyone and everyone because it's so easy and smooth! All you have to do is color a bit with the pencil and then brush with water. XD
